چکیده

A hybrid statistical dynamical downscaling method intended to emulate regional climate models is described and applied Western Europe. The based on a constructed analogues algorithm, already used for downscaling. For emulation, the relationship not derived from observations but projections at low high resolution. approach therefore does rely stationarity assumption inherent conventional Within perfect model framework, using large number of projections, shown reproduce change signals very well outperform also analogues. remains skillful even when resolution data. In practice, two emulation modes exist. GCM/RCM mode, built between RCM its forcing GCM. RCM/RCM same after aggregation results grid. large-scale signal downscaled GCM generally retained with /RCM mode. Additionally, choice pair learning leads differences in scale (i.e. resolution) These are explained by that exist projected changes current RCMs their GCMs. Whether these testimony real added value context, or whether they have other causes, crucial question.

Evaluation of trends in high temperature extremes in north-western Europe in regional climate models

Projections of future changes in weather extremes on the regional and local scale depend on a realistic representation of trends in extremes in regional climate models (RCMs). We have tested this assumption for moderate high temperature extremes (the annual maximum of the daily maximum 2 m temperature, Tann.max). Linear trends in Tann.max from historical runs of 14 RCMs driven by atmospheric re...

Evaluation of water and energy budgets in regional climate models applied over Europe

This study presents a model intercomparison of four regional climate models (RCMs) and one variable resolution atmospheric general circulation model (AGCM) applied over Europe with special focus on the hydrological cycle and the surface energy budget. The models simulated the 15 years from 1979 to 1993 by using quasi-observed boundary conditions derived from ECMWF re-analyses (ERA). The model i...

Dynamical Downscaling: Assessment of Value Retained and Added Using the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System (RAMS)

[1] The value restored and added by dynamical downscaling is quantitatively evaluated by considering the spectral behavior of the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System (RAMS) in relation to its domain size and grid spacing. A regional climate model (RCM) simulation is compared with NCEP Reanalysis data regridded to the RAMS grid at each model analysis time for a set of six basic experiments. At ...

APPLICATION OF PREFERENCE RANKING ORGANIZATION METHOD FOR ENRICHMENT EVALUATION METHOD IN ENERGY PLANNING - REGIONAL LEVEL

Nowadays energy is one of the most essential needs of human being and it can be considered as the basic prerequisite of social and economic development.  Hence, many of the correlations and legislations of a country are affected by it. Since Iran has huge source of gas and oil, it has turned to a fossil fuel oriented county. But as oil and gas sources are non-renewable ones and cannot be replac...
